The Noughties......9/11 and Terrorism, global paranoia, war, economic collapse, eBay and downloading and the slow death of record shops and the rise and fall of the record industry as we know it. The rise in revenues from more festivals, band reformations and massive tours by supergroups, but no music scenes any more other than the joke that was ‘Emo’; the only music scene we have now are Talent(less) Shows. Has music turned full circle back to live performance? Or is this the impending death of popular music as we know it?
